This was such a good book!! Best one that I have read in a while I would recommend to anyone. Emoni is in her senior year, with many difficult decisions to make. When she got pregnant as a freshman, she has done everything to be a good mother and granddaughter. One place she can let everything go is in the kitchen. At her home, or at school, food helps her to find herself. Such a good book.

This was a quick read of a book. It was all done in stanza format which I liked. The main character lives with her mother and they have a close relationship. Throughout, she speaks about…well she describes in length what we know is her anxiety. At times I had to skip a little because it was very much how I feel throughout the day. While figuring out how her body works with her emotions, she wants to ask simple questions. When she realizes that the internet is no help, she walks by herself to the library. While there, the librarian helps her to realize things by finally asking questions that she is too nervous to ask her mother. This is a wonderful book on how showing what anxiety feels like, how a working single mother cares so deeply for her child, and also how a growing girl can reveal her true feelings for a friend at school.
I do feel like if I was about to read this book, I would want to know that the main character is trying to figure out her feelings about liking a girl in her class. Lately, I feel like there are many more books than years past, definitely none when I was younger, that spoke about gay relationships. Even putting aside my own opinion on the subject, as someone who writes reviews, I think that I would want to know that this element was in the book, whether or not I had feelings on said subject.
I have not seen the Netflix movie about Enola Holmes. I did decide to try one of her books. It was so good. It was also a fast read. I don’t know if you have to read these in order, but after this I am going to try to borrow the rest from the library.
Enola Holmes is only 14. Her mother has left her and she begins to help people who need it. Sherlock and her other brother are at times trying to find her. Dr. Watson is still friends with Sherlock, but he is at the stage in the stories of having a family with kids, so he has gone back to being a doctor while seeing his dear friend Sherlock when he is needed.
For this story, there is a missing girl about Enola’s age. Since she is from a rich family and seems to just have ran away, they aren’t doing much to try to find her. Enola in her masterful ways figures out the truth, even before I did!!! On to the next one!!
Such a cute book!! I was told about this books from a YouTube that I watch and listen to all of the time. The author all of a sudden gets dumped by her boyfriend on the first day of Christmas vacation. Her huge family offers to get her ten dates in ten days. While her ex trying to get her back, her sister being pregnant and about to pop, and trying to find new love, this story is the cutest.
This was a book that you could read in different ways. You could take 40 days to read each small chapter a day. I read a little at a time just like a regular book. This book had so many useful tools and just talked out how much social media can bombard you in life
This was the cutest book that I have listened to a long time!! Even though it was the longest audiobook that I have listened to, it was so worth it. I didn’t want it to end! Prudence wakes up with the ability to give instant karma to anyone that she thinks deserves it. During this time, she has to work with a given lab partner, Quinten. This big year long school project that they have had to work on, hasn’t worked out at all. What happens when she realizes her “powers,” but really that her lab partner isn’t a bad guy. Will she work the summer with him at a cool sea animal rescue center to get a better grade? Will having the ability to give instant karma not be all that it cracks up to be?

I haven’t read many graphic novels, but this one was drawn and watercolors perfectly. There wasn’t many words in all, but the pictures are what showed the emotion. A boy is thinking about going after the guy that killed his brother. While in an elevator going down, people from his past come into the elevator. His father, the little girl he used to play with, others that have also been killed by guns. This graphic novel will stay with for a while.

Josh is having a really rough time. His girlfriend breaks up with him after he proposes to her. He loses his job and moves in with his family. Thankfully he has good friends and a coin that he continues to flip to see his next move. When he meets a pretty girl one day while cheering on a friend, he decides to flip the coin to find her. What will happen when he travels to find this girl that he doesn’t know her name! Will it all come together and will his life get any better or keep bringing him down? Was a cute a read that you are rooting for Josh to find what he really wants.

This was the cutest book I have read in a while!! I listened to it on audio with the two characters voices going back and forth with each chapter. Will they end up together? Him, coming from a rich family and just trying to do his own thing as sheriff. Her, trying to live life with having a father who everyone knows needs bailed out all of the time while having grown up with a grandmother who took good care of her. Will families and circumstances come between them? If was such a sweet read that I needed.
I loved it. I couldnt put it down. It talked about Matthew and Marilla growing up. Why Marilla never left Green Gables and why she never had a love in her life. Or did she and she felt that she had to stay at home? Such a good showing of why she was the way to Anne. I would recommend this to anyone who loved the Anne of Green Gables books and/or watched the movies
