My next Reading Thing I’m going to do.

I noticed that there is a big difference between mine and my husband’s book shelves.

I just don’t keep many books. I only keep the ones that I would definitely tell others to read. But, do I still like them? My next thing is to go through the books on my book shelf to see if I still enjoyed them. I’m also going to look at what I’ve read in the little bit and see what others I should buy and have on my book shelf.

Here are the books, any your faves or ones you don’t really like?

I’ve read 200 books since the beginning of the year!!!

So much to say!!! 1. The Reading Log on the left was the best present ever from my sister in law Bettie for Xmas!! Everyone who reads and wants to keep up with the books needs to get one. It has space to write about each book that you read.
2. Yes, I have another Reading journal that keeps up with the stats with color coding and stickers and I love to show it off!

I still can’t believe it’s only the beginning of Sept and I have read 200 books! Last year I read 174 for the whole year!
I also blog about each book that I read, so you can check out and subscribe to Www.cak381.wordpress.com!!!

Another thing is that the publisher Hachette emails me every month with a list of books that haven’t come out. I can choose to be sent any of them. If you would like to know how to get on the list or help in getting free Arcs, message me!!

Please check out Netgalley if you would like to read/listen to audiobooks from your phone or tablet for free. They are new books that haven’t come out yet!!

Also, #Scriptd is the best place to listen to many audiobooks and they usually give you a couple of months free trial°°

On to the stats!

Audio: 89
FREE from Publisher: 11

196. Brave Enough by: Katie Gardner

You know that I have been raving about Script, what I use to listen to audiobooks. I was looking around and found this book. First, I will say that I did go to elementary School with the author and I feel like many of the things she went through were in this book. Second, I can’t even speak about how wonderful this book is. As I was listening, all I could think about is how this would be a great movie or TV series. THIS ALSO WOULD BE THE BEST READ ALOUD FOR FIFTH TO MIDDLE SCHOOL GRADES. Let’s get to what the book is about. It’s a story of two people coming together to help each other. Casey is a ballerina, dancing is her life. She has a mother that is all about her dancing. After a fall, she discovers that she has cancer. While receiving her treatment, she meets Davis, a cancer survivor, who volunteers bc of the trouble he has gotten into. Not only do they form a bond, but the author shows how doctors, nurses, assistants, and children in the beginning stages and recovery, can help each other. The nod or look of someone who knows what you are going through, without a word can not be life changing. I was listening and was getting goosebumps and teary eyed when Casen can see her future, and what it means to be Brave Enough. One of my favorites of the year.
