4. Lost Bread By: Edith Bruck

Synopsis:

“ Lost Bread adds an essential chapter to the literature of the Holocaust. With a broad transnational sweep, it recounts a refugee’s search for a new home, from country to country, until finally settling in Italy. In this elegant translation, the voice of Edith Bruck—Italy’s most important witness together with Primo Levi—reaches the English reader with all its poignance and raw emotional power.”
—Michael F. Moore

Book borrowed from Library.

This is a book that anyone learning about the Holocaust, it would be helpful. This is a hard book to read, but one that everyone should.

I have a love of reading and talking about books. Even the books that I didn't like as much, I still love to talk about them. I love working at the library b/c I am always bringing home a book! I am also grateful to receive ARCs of books and to bring them to my blog and write about them.
