125. Her Only Wish by: Shelley Shepard Gray

Netgalley Arc: EBOOK

Thank you to Netgalley for the Arc. I really enjoyed the book! I did not read book 1 in the series, but it didn’t change anything with Book 2. I would recommend it when it comes out.

Return to Pinecraft, Florida, for a Sweet Amish Romance

Sheltered yet adventurous, Betsy Detweiler is on a mission to get out of Kentucky and experience new things in life. She’s got a list–a life list. What better place to start than with her friends in beautiful Pinecraft, Florida?

From the moment Betsy walks into the Snow Bird Golf Course to sign up for lessons, August Troyer is mesmerized. Betsy is a mass of contradictions–beautiful yet awkward, outgoing yet unsure, joyful yet hesitant. She’s like no one he’s ever met before, and as the only child of missionary parents, he’s met a lot of people.

As Betsy and August embark on a month of enjoying life to the fullest, they’ll encounter several reasons to back off and play it safe. But playing it safe has its own consequences. This tender romance reminds us that life–and love–requires a fair amount of risk.

123. Prince Caspian by: CS Lewis

Continuation of Anotating Narnia Books

The second book in the Narnia Series was good. Many different new characters, while also seeing the children come back to Narnia. Aslan, of course, makes his appearance. I didn’t highlight or make lots of notes in this one. I was excited to reread the book.

122. Murder of an Amish Bridegroom by: Patricia Johns

Netgalley Arc

Netgalley Arc: Ebook

It was a good book. It had all of the elements of a good Amish story. I didn’t realize who the killer was until the end. Each suspect that comes up, you are wondering if it could be them.

121. The Storyteller of Auschwitz by: Siobhan Curham.

Netgalley Arc: Ebook

I am so glad that I was given this book to review as an arc on Netgalley. There have been many different books that have been about Auschwitz and that time period. You are right in the thick of things with the main character. After she finds out that she can no longer be published bc she is Jewish, this writer is picked up with friends and taken to a camp. A camp of many. You move through the time she gets there, what she encounters in the years of camp, and how her life is when she is out of camp. If you like this type of historical fiction, then this book is for you.

120. Bishop takes King By: Ashley Poston

Netgalley Arc: EBOOK

Goodreads Synopsis:
When Kate Bishop, the young Hawkeye, solves a minor crime and saves the surprisingly cute Milo in the process, she counts it as a rare win. But a mix-up of their bags means that nope, Kate’s life is still refusing to run smoothly. In that bag is a mysterious book that holds powerful, dangerous secrets—ones that New York City’s most powerful super villain, the Kingpin, would kill to uncover.

Recommend: I thought that this was a graphic novel, but pleasantly surprised when it is a short book. I love Marvel characters, so it was nice to see a couple in this book. You are rooting for Hawkeye and wanting things to go good for her.

119. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe By: CS Lewis.

Bought book: REREAD: Annotated

Synopsis: When four siblings go through a wardrobe into a different world, what happens when they all have different choices to make.

Recommend: Yes!! I did have a problem with one sibling, Edmund. I felt like he was a brat and didn’t think about what he was doing. He just wanted his own thing, which almost killed him in the end.

Netgalley Audio Arc

It’s such a cute story. It was an audio arc, and I would buy it when it comes out. You are rooting for the main character. She did a bad thing when trying to find her way as a wedding planner. When she has to work on weddings with her old coworkers, she tries to show how much she has changed.

116. Amish Christmas Kinner By: 3 Authors

Netgalley Arc: Ebook

Synopsis: Three different Christmas Amish Stories.

Recommend: This was such a cute book of stories. I read it in June, so it doesn’t need to be Christmas time. I don’t know which story I liked the best, but I was rooting for each of the characters.
