I tried. This book wqs even made in a movie/series recently. But, I couldn’t get past page 50. It just wasn’t interesting and felt like it was going nowhere. Now onto the next book!!
I feel like a while ago I read a book about a woman who was having a rough time. She was invited to a huge fafafa house and then things go awry.
I think it was based on this book. For this book, I really liked it. I didn’t get into the characters so much that at times I forgot who everyone was, bc there were so many of them. It might just also have been bc of how I’ve been feeling lately and not really wanting to read books.
I did enjoy this book and gave it high marks on Goodreads. You knew that people were going to be dying, but after each one, you wondered what would happen to the next.
This all was a story that I got on my Kindle. Both books were small in length. Book one was mostly a back story of how the town came about. The second, which was my favorite spoke about a single woman in a large family that was having headaches. After going to the town Dr and also a specialist, it was said she was losing her eyesight. Right before these doctor visits, she was being courted. Once the man heard about her going blind, he ran out of town fast. His schoolmate who had had a crush on the woman all along, cam back into town and began to help her learn to see her surroundings and be her guide. It was really good.
Well, when you order a mail order bride and it takes her three days on a train to come, it might not be perfect in the beginning. You could tell they didn’t know each other really well or not all, because they both thought the others reactions were the truth. When in fact, they were false.
This was a short book for free on my kindle. It was cute but it didn’t tell you what happened. It was the first time in I dont know when there you have to read the second book to find out the real ending.
This was a free online book off of Amazon that was talked about by a friend at school.
It did not take me long to read it. While reading it, I was thinking I have lately been reading books about a woman in the midst of a psychological thriller and of course it pertains to her husband in some way.
I didn’t think that the end would have come so quickly and also what it would have been.
It was a good one.
This is a 3 stories in one book kinda book. Each story had the same characters, but 2 were prevalent in each story. Three male friends were betting on who would be the last to fall in love. Each story shows how that bet changes and the men fall in love. It doesn’t come quickly for either of them but when it does, its with the right girl.

This book seemed like it was going to be better than it was. I only got through…..okay I couldn’t even get to page 100 bc I was not liking it.

Thank you but no thank you. The beginning 100 pages were good. Three men getting ready to go on a boat ride and all that was good. Talking and thinking about what would fit in a boat. But, then I couldn’t keep reading.
Okay, so I have now checked and I haven’t really read a whole book in about a month. I have picked up a couple of books but I haven’t started to read. Daniel and I went to McKay’s, this huge bookstore in Chattanooga and I bought 8-10 books on my list but also some Amish love stories. I haven’t been able to pick them up and begin them!! It’s like books have become rancid to me. I think its just the time of this pandemic, whatever you want to call it. I call it “weirdness”. There wasn’t really and flat ending to the school year and now it’s summer time! I may be wondering what will happen it I go into a different world while sitting on the couch instead of doing something else. I have been coloring a lot!! I have used up gel pens that i bought and am on a second really nice coloring book. But, this isn’t a site for my pretty pictures. Its a site for books. I have been watching people on YOU TUBE and if I am being honest, it’s not the ones that they are talking about new books, but I want to see what they felt like and what they liked/disliked in the same books that I have read. I also think that its finding the camaraderie of other people having a hard time reading as well.
So, I will try. But, I don’t know what trying looks like.
