143. The city bakers guide to country living By: Louise Miller

Such a cute and easy read!! I started and finished it in a day. When disaster strikes at Olivia’s baking job, she flees to her friend Hannah’s, who lives in a small town. When she begins to work at a small inn and live there, she meets everyone in this small tiny town. When craziness happens again, will she flee like she always does? I loved this book also bc it talked so much about the different things that she baked.

142. When we were young By: Karen Kingsbury

This was the best book. I read it in one sitting. If you are lifelong readers of the Baxter family,  you will love seeing how everyone is. This can also be read as a stand alone. The internet has taken over one couples relationship. On the first page is the last day they spend together before the husband moves out. When he begins to keep waking up at different time frames, will he like what he sees as his wide and children age? It makes you think about what really goes on in a marriage and what Instagram and Facebook can do to a couple if they let it.

140. Love and other words by: Christina Lauren

This a book that I’ve been on a long list for at the library. I’ve read other books that this author has written and have loved them. Check out Unhoneymooners as well.

I read this book in one sitting bc I couldn’t wait to see what the big thing at the end was. This book has alternating timelines. From now, when the main character Macy is a pediatric doctor who runs into her old best friend and flame Eliott. From then, as a child and teenager, spending time with Elliott at her summer house, reading books and learning about life. When they meet up again after many years, there is still secrets of why they all of a sudden stopped talking. Broken hearts, secrets, and you won’t want to stop reading to find out how everything unfolds. Such a good book.

139. Get out of your head By: Jennie Allen

I don’t remember who was reading this book and said how wonderful it was, but thank you bc it is so good!! The author brings you along in her life and also uses scriptures to show how we are so engrossed with the things that we think about. This isn’t a how to book, but rather a much needed sit down on what God says about you and your thinking. If you are suffering from anxiety, depression, or need a pick me up than this book is for you. It was so helpful to me and I would recommend this book to everyone!

138. Out of My Heart By: Sharon M Draper

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc of the book. The book comes out November 9. 2021.

Such a wonderful read!! I read the first books, Out of My Mind for Reading Bowl and then last year we listened to it as a read a loud book in fifth grade reading class. This book follows along Melody, her family, her wheelchair, and her device that allows her to speak. Right at the beginning of the book, she found a week long summer camp to go to. Her mother and her fill out the paperwork and she is able to attend!! Such big changes in that the camp is two hours away and she has never been to a sleepover. The week brings new friends, new chances to do so many things for the first time, boys!, and her being able to be a teenager! I loved the whole book and it made me get teary eyed throughout it. I would definitely recommend the first and this one to anyone who enjoys reading YA.
