Welcome 2024 and a Review of 2023!

I love how I bought only 16% of the 237 books that I read this year. I read 2 more books from last year and a lot more pages!! I am excited for my 2024 goals of reading. We have 45 Beverly Lewis books at the library, which will help me with my goal! I like that I’m having Daniel pick one of his books out to read each month. I was surprised by all of the rereads that I did this past year. I liked most of the books that I reread.

I finished my Reading Blanket. It is so long, and the pictures don’t do it justice. For 2024, I will be crosstiching small books. I will be able to hang it up when finished.

Reading Goals 2024

Looking back on my Reading Goals for 2023, I did really well. I wanted to not focus on the amount of books, but what I was reading. This year I want to focus on just reading for fun. Yes, I would love to read as many books as I have in the past, but I feel like I don’t read the ones that I am really interested in, all to just get an amount up.

I also did a wonderful and long book blanket. The colors I chose went with what the theme of my Reading turned out to be this year. Amish Fiction and New books that I haven’t read yet. This year I will be doing a Cross Stitch of the books that I read in 2024.

So, for 2024 I would like to:

Make it the Year of Beverly Lewis. I would like to read as many books that she has, that is either available at McKays or the Library. The local library has most of her books, over 45 of them!

Read for Pleasure

Try not to worry about an ending number

Work more on the books that I own and Rereading to see if I still like them.

Use the Library the most and not buy many books.

Do a better job at typing in things for the Blog and not just hurrying.

Read all of Beverly Lewis Books

Once a month, have Daniel pick a book for me to read.

237. The Woman in Me by: Brittney Spears

Audiobook from Libby

I think that because I grew up with her and remembered her on TV for her concerts and saw her out with Justin, I was excited to read her book. Now, I just feel bad for her and hope that now she can just live her life and know that she doesn’t have to perform.
