43. Mexican Gothic

Mexican Gothic DNF after listening to audio for three hours.

I tried. I listened to the audio as long as I could. I just couldn’t get into it.
I will say that others have written that the first half is very slow and then the end is wonderful. Well, I don’t have time for those kinds of books, I have books waiting for me that I will enjoy all of the pages. I even looked up what the creepy ending is and I wouldn’t have been mad at it. The main character just moved slow, through the house, through talking to others, through helping. I stopped the audio book after 3 hours of listening. This is the first time in a while that I didn’t finish a book. If you did like this book, we can still be friends. Please let me know if you read it and what you thought of it.

The Confident Woman Journal by: Joyce Meyer

Thank you so much Hachette Publishing for this journal to review.

I love Joyce Meyer! I also love this journal. It has quotes throughout it. Each page has room for all your thoughts to be written on. The binding and colors are so pretty. It is light that you can just put it in your purse or by your Bible. I really think that if you need a journal, than this one is for you!!

42. Untamed

Untamed By: Glennon Doyle

Out now!! 352 Pages Audio Book

I really enjoyed this book. It has been on a lot of peoples list to read. I understand why people might not like it. You can’t take it as a help book. Read it like I did, as you are sitting on a couch with a friend, hearing about her life. I loved the audio of it and her voice. She voiced all of her opinions and changes in her household.

4 out of 5. If you just need someone to listen to about their life and you don’t feel so alone.

But, then she meets someone that she likes to hang out with. There is also the the man in town that is her best friend and owns the coffeehouse she helps out in with her bakery business. 39. Meet you in the Middle

By: Devon Daniels Out: Feb 2021

368 pages

Thanks to Berkley Publishing for the book I won through Goodreads!!

This cute rom com book was such a good one from start to finish. Liberal Senate staffer Kate Adam’s keeps spending time with Ben, who works for a Concervative State Senator. Don’t let the political parties or notions keep you from reading this book. This book allows you to fall in love with the characters and be with them through their meet cute, while political discussions are few and far between. Will they fall for each other? Will they put their pasts and current work situations aside to reveal their love for one another?
I could not put this book down. It was a tale of love that made a new way by you not knowing if they will end up together.

38. Fight for Her

Fight for Her By: Liz Plum 321 pages

You can buy it March 9!!!

Thank you to the publisher for an arc copy of the book.
The front cover doesn’t do this book justice and what it is about. Scarlett Tucker has a love triangle going on with her clueless boyfriend and the bad boy at school. Once Scarlett begins to help Elijah, the bad boy with his car, she begins to see all that he is about. The book goes from who will she end up with, to reasons why her brother was killed in a motorcycle accident. When you don’t think Elijah and Scarlett’s path could be more together, you find out so much more. It was a little slow at the beginning, but by the end I was wondering how it was all going to turn out. I would recommend this book to anyone for a quick read.

37. The Happy Camper

The Happy Camper By: Melody Carlson!!

Out Now!!! 352 pages!!

Thank you to the publisher for sending me this book!!

Dillon Michael’s is just having a life changing moment in her life. Her mother calls her to say that her Grandfather needs to be watched because of his health. She is quickly fired, dumps her longtime loser boyfriend and heads straight home. When she gets there, she find out her mother, who they don’t have a good relationship is also there to “help Grandpa”. Dillon suddenly sees how Grandpa is sad for losing Grandma, but his health is fine. Grandpa gives her the old camper and she thrives by making it her own. Of course there is a love story, for her dumped boyfriend comes crawling back to her, while the owner of the hardware store begins to help her out with everything.
I really loved this book. From the kindness she gives everyone in the face of turmoil, staying true to herself, and just a positive attitude when I would have yelled at people in her life.
