229. Post-Traumatic Jesus by: David W Peters

Netgalley Arc

This is a game changer of a book. If you suffer from PTSD, then this book is for you. You can read it in a day or take a chapter each week. I found many things that I have been through, and it’s just like having a hand put on your shoulder, allowing you to know God is there.

228. The Secrets of London by: Jonathan Livingstone

Netgalley Arc

This is the cutest book! This would be a great read aloud classroom book. Two kids become friends with animals at the zoo. No one cares or seems to notice that the animals are walking all around, having adventures with the kids! I highly recommend this book!!!

227. Gemma Hunt’s see!! Let’s Be Me! By: Charlotte Cook

Netgalley Arc

This is a wonderful book! This would be perfect for a read aloud, just one item at a time, and then discuss. The book gives scenarios of what all children go through and how they can see how others deal with it. Nervousness, jealousy. The big things that would help to see how others act.

226. Praising the Surface by: Stella Lory

Netgalley Arc

If you are a fan of reality TV, then this graphic novel is for you! Go behind the scenes as a counselor who is invited to write scenes about what is going on throughout the day. Her job is to see what the cameras are getting and write what the episodes should be about. She also begins to have a friendship with the main character, and you can see how they make her come out of her shell. The illustrations are fantastic and very much stick with the outrageousness of what the tv shows are all about.

225. Full of Myself by: Sioban Gallagher

Netgalley Arc

This was just like reading about my life! The author illustrates the book and uses her life story as a backdrop of facing body image. Again, this was the authors life, growing up through the chapters until now. The illustrations are wonderful and very cute.

224. The Girls by: Stan Zimmerman

Netgalley Arc

Did I root for this guy? Did I look him up to find what he looked like and all the episodes that he wrote, I remember watching them? This would be a great read if you have watched any shows or just to see how writers work in and out of places.

223. Just Once by: Karen Kingsbury

Arc from Netgalley

I have read many Karen Kingsbury books, but this one touched my heart in a different way. War does things to people, and Irvel had a time of it in her life. With having to choose between two brothers and being a secret operative for the war, this story makes you not want to put the book down. This would be a good beginning book to read if you have never heard of the author.

219. Little Town On the Prairie By: Laura Ingalls Wilde

Borrowed from library

This was my least favorite of the books I have read. It was the last one bc I read this one out of order, and it wasn’t good. To what they called Laura’s hair when she wanted to have bangs or that God awful show that the men put on in town. I feel like it ruined the rest of the books for me. Like other reviews that I have read, this one was more of the family in a town. The others have been them together, working the land and making sure that they had enough warmth and food. I would skip this book.
