Puzzles! A little different but….

Daniel and I have started the New Year doing puzzles. My problem is, is that I don’t want to rip them apart and put the pieces back in the box! I want it to stay finished! We have one framed puzzle when we first married and I realized what a puzzler the Rankins family are. This also feels like I do about some books. That I don’t want to give them away even though they aren’t my absolute favorite. I think that’s why I’m going back to re reading some of what I would call my favorites.

So, here are the first two puzzles of the year!

2023 Reading Goals

Well, I looked back and passed with flying colors on last year’s reading goals. I finished all of Hannah Swenson’s books. I even began and finished a couple of other series. I read all of the books on my shelves, but also added a bunch from the last time I was at McKays.

Since I read so many books last year, 235, I don’t want to fixate on a number and just read any kind of book. I want to read books that I want to, and not feel that I have to.

Last year I found that I really enjoyed listening to Audio books. This year I definitely want to work on the two piles that have collected but also see if I enjoy Kindle books as well.

I also want to do more Reading Sprints and Readathons. They always help me with motivating me to read.

I had two Reading Journals where one consisted of what the book was about. I want to use this blog more to dive into the books that I read. I also am on social media all of the time. One of the reasons that I don’t totally delete them is bc I always think, well I post when I finish a book. But, if I use this more, then I can just post monthly of the books that I have read.
